Who we are
Established in 1978, the Pointe-du-Chêne Yacht Club “PCYC” is located in Shediac, New Brunswick, on the western side of the Northumberland Strait and within walking distance of several restaurants, boutiques, and attractions such as the well-known Parlee Beach.
Vessels are enclosed in a marina setting and we offer convenient, affordable berthing from May until October. The yacht club is operated by a manager and guided by an elected board of directors.

  • How to find us

    Getting here by sea:

At the Fairway buoy (XN), take a heading on the FR range lights at Belliveau Beach (Parlee Beach). Proceed to the QR buoy (XN12), turn to starboard on a heading to the next QR (XN18) buoy. At XN18, turn to port, follow the FY range lights located on the Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf; the channel is also marked by two sets of FlR and FlG lateral buoys. When nearing the seaward range light you will see an R buoy at the entrance to the Marina, east of the channel. In periods of low water, deeper draft vessels should stay within the channel. CHS Chart # 4909

    Getting here by land:

From East or West, follow HWY-15 to Exit 37 onto HWY-140 towards Shediac / Parlee Beach. At lights, turn left onto Main Street. Turn right onto the Pointe-du-Chene Rd at next set of lights by the Irving gas station. Follow the Pointe-Du-Chene Road and turn right just before wharf entrance toll booth.

    What's happening at the club

  • Jessica Mollins is our new bookkeeper and has installed a point-of-sale machine at the clubhouse.
  • The marina is up and running, water and electricity are functioning, all we need now is warmer weather… Like to recognize both Darren Wallace and Mike Melanson for putting the marina together. This is usually a job completed by four people, so we want to thank Darren and Mike for the hard work that they have been doing.
  • PCYC will be having a Meet and Greet on Sunday, June 26 from 4 to 6. Because of Covid, we have not had the opportunity to have many events like this and we have several new members at the club. This will be a ‘’wine and cheese’’ format. Big thank you to Elaine Davis and Jessica Butler who are organising this event for us.
  • PCYC is still looking for a new part-time Executive Director.
